About coordinating Department(Computer Science)

The department of Computer Science was established in the academic year 1987-88 with the combination of B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Computer Science) with the approval of Andhra University the affiliating body of the college. This college is one among the three colleges to introduce computer science at UG level under Andhra University area. At present five computer combination courses are offered and affliated to Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram, they are B.Sc (M.P.CS), B.Sc (M.E.CS), B.Sc (M.S.CS), B.Sc (M.C.CS), B.Sc (M.G.CS).

   Ø  The Department has state of the art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high                speed Ethernet and Wi-Fi networks.

Ø  The Computer Science department many strengths include its high faculty-to-student ratio, state of the art facilities, reknowned faculty, strong focus on undergraduate education balanced with leading-edge research, and emphasis on leadership, service, and ethics.

Ø  The Computer Science Department regularly organizes national conferences, seminars, student symposia, short-term training program and value added courses.

Ø  Existing faculty have the capability to handle this program(IoT)

Ø  The progression of students is remarkable compared to other streams 60% of students opt for higher education and pursue their further studies. 

Ø  This provides a wide range of opportunities for faculty and students to bring out their potential and innovative skills in a variety of fields. The department has conducted national conferences on current trends in computer technology.

Ø  Our department conducted international conference on “ Industrial Applications of Computer Science” on 27 &28^th Feb 2020.

Ø  Faculty and students often collaborate on projects, working side-by-side with researchers from other colleges and departments across the campus.

Ø  Some of our faculty members participated in FDP program on PYTHON organized by AP skill Development Corporation at IIIT Nuziveedu.

Ø  Graduates from the Computer Science department are heavily recruited by many top companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys...
